DKP comes down to using raidpoints.
Raidpoints are earned by joining raids.
You will earn points for signing up, joining raid, killing a boss, etc..

This system will reward the players that are most active raiding, since they build up more points.
These points can be used to claim rewards.
E.g. You build up 30 points, you can use these to claim a T2 helm, if no one else offers more raidpoints for it.

I never fully understood how this system works. I would say, at eventual, it would discourage some from raiding if they were not able to make it all the time and not have a chance at loot.

I think we could try it. We have 3 months to test it.

In the old days, each rare drop had a price, and the one raider with highest points, get to pick first. And the given price-points is drawn from his/her sum.

If that person do not need or do not want the rare drop, the person with 2nd most points, get the chance, and so on.

Cheers,

Prefer the loot ladder system.

I voted no, because I think that one end game raid with one item is not enough content for DKP system. It wasn't no to DKP system itself :)

I voted No!
Due to the nature of my business I am not at liberty to join raids very often.
The main reason I left Riddles in the Dark was because of this system and the Elite raiding team it creates.
Kinnies who are fortunate enough to play often, get more loot anyhow.
Due to this fact I personally feel that an equal chance and a little bit of luck is the best option.
I dont raid because I dont want to, but because of the lack of time to do so, my work is generally in the evenings.
Do Ettens as much as possible but dropping there, if I have to leave does not affect a whole group, like in a raid.
Good luck all!

I vote yes. I won't join often to kinraids myself because of beeing busy IRL, anyway I used to be in a kinship who used DKP and I felt good about it since the people who really contributes to raid progression had their reward first, helping them out in the work, while others had rewards aswell in few time due to the fact that people who already know tactics and with good gear could bring them over even if their first time in raid.

Just a couple suggestions IF we're going for DKP:
1) Use SKP (suicide king point): the highest player will spend ALL his points after a single loot and go back to zero. He will gain a lot again in few time if he partecipates much but that won't build up a gap with new players over time.

2) Allow main chatacters to come first. (es. the newcomer random X get the loot before the raid maintank 2nd character)

had more of a re-thought on the dkp system I originally was against it, but now as the kin is expanding and some players raiding out of kin I think using the system will be more beneficial to the regular raiders
